Things Inhabit is my one person project, involving all Things creative I have been dedicating my life to. Coming from a Fine Art background, I mostly focus in drawing, printing and sewing, practices I have always conducted and combined.
For Things Inhabit, I started making Tote Bags for family and friends from carefully selected beautiful fabrics I found in different parts of the world I have lived in. After that, I started also making pillows and coasters for the home and different types of bags.
But my artistic restless self, aimed to take Things a bit further and that was when I began thinking about making my own patterns, designing and producing them by hand in a labour intensive process that goes with my meditative character.
I currently hand print all my fabrics, using rubber stamps I carve and non toxic textile inks. Always on organic raw cotton.
Each Things Inhabit item is made from start to finish, making each piece unique. Due to the time consuming nature of the process, there are only a small number of Things made with each pattern, and since they are all hand made, they become one of a kind pieces.
I wish you enjoy your Things Inhabit as much as I do making it for you.
